I've had an interest in all things shiny for as long as I can remember, and began creating metal-wear back in the late 90s. It was with the help of a friend that, in 1997, I set up Metallic Dreams and so started on the path that would take me through Allycat and finally on to freakyZdesigns.

Once I had achieved everything I could with Allycat, I decided that I wanted to start my own company. This allowed me to fully develop my ideas for cyber and goth clothing, with everything from extreme club wear to more practical street clothes. I began with what I knew best - stainless steel. Wanting to make a statement with my first creation, I fashioned the wings that have become the defining image of freakyZdesigns. It was these wings that caught the attention of my now business partner, Niki, and lured her in.

I had met Niki a year earlier and she had already expressed an interest in what I was doing. Having come from a background of making authentic Victorian costumes, she brought the eye for detail and high level manufacturing skill which give freakyZdesigns its distinctive edge. Between us we started designing clothes that were a blend of Niki's interest in the Victorian and my obsession with the shiny.

Since then we have produced a distinctive range of unique designs - from historically inspired outfits to modern cyber-wear.

Freaky Z
 

Freaky Z Outside of design, the Freaky Z is a bit special. She likes trapeze and falls off with style and panache on a regular basis. She has a history of appearing in freak shows (hence the name) and doing stilts performance, and has been modelling for longer than she'd like to admit. Other interests include climbing, hiking and staring at the sea. She seems to think that one day she will manage to move the ocean with the power of her mind (well, I did say she's a bit special).

Niki Niki is a rebel accountant, fighting to get away with her scary red hair and 5mm flesh tunnels in a world of extreme corporate eyebrow raising. So far she has cunningly foiled their plans to transform her into a corp-sheep. Her ambitions include taking over the world and owning her own sheep. She hopes to someday make the biggest crinoline worn by Goth, without looking like a cake. And she wants to do it all by yesterday.
